Sean Dekkers- designer, artist, muse, and friend out of New Zealand, approached me to prototype technology for his new invention, Hive. He basically needed half a dozen sensors to measure things going on inside this smart, modern beehive. The brains of the "Smart Core" section below. Bees play a big part in many ecosystems. Imagine a network of hundreds of these beehives, all communicating and nurturing urban bee health through the power of technology and data analytics. The free honey will also be a huge bonus.
